Our camps include comic book design, creating your own fairy or dragon wings, painting your own clay-sculpted monsters, performing magic tricks, and even meeting a real live unicorn!

Entering Grades 1-6, June 1- June 5 (9a-4p), $225
Bring your favorite mythical creatures to life this week through painting, sculpting, and crafting. Fairy lovers will create fairy homes for their magical friends while dragon lovers will create their own dragon egg nests. You will learn about the mischief fairies and dragons have been causing throughout the land and create your very own wings!

Are you ready for a completely magical week all about unicorns? We will sculpt, paint, sew, and create unicorn themed wearables, decorations, and crafts! Learn the secret powers of unicorns and how to find them in the wild. Learn well and get the chance to take a unicorn ride! (The two Unicorn sessions will consist of entirely different projects and activities)

Who knew that science could be so fun… and crazy?! Experiment with wild science to make unique art projects and, of course, make things explode. Through a combination of chemistry, science, and cool technology like laser machines, we will make messy and intricate art projects. Campers who work extra hard may even have a chance to compete in an art-science competition!

Everyone knows that Legos are the best invention ever made! Dive into your very own Lego world at this camp. Create your own models, complete challenges, and craft unique Lego bricks, figurines, and structures from clay. Master your wizarding skills in Potions, Care of Magical Creatures, and of course Defense Against the Dark Arts. At the end of the week throw a big birthday bash to celebrate Harry Potter’s July 31st Birthday! Wands at the ready!

Step into a world where anime, video games, and pop culture collide with fashion. Create detailed renderings for costumes and props. Learn the basics of joining fabric with hand and machine sewing, explore textiles and learn to replicate important elements of costuming. Students will learn to sew a variety of decorations, trims, and other wearable items to make cosplay costumes. The week will culminate in a fabulous fashion show!

Spend your week learning how to apply theatrical makeup and create all sorts of fun effects. Students will learn and practice techniques for creating realistic character makeup effects and even get to create their own prosthetic wounds. Calling all Rock Stars! Have you ever wanted to be in a band? Join us for a week of rocking out! During the week you will learn songs, how to perform with fellow musicians, and join in on a live rock band performance for all of Oviedo! (Musical experience is required. All types of instrumentalists and vocalists are welcome. Must know how to read sheet music or chords)

Are you feeling crafty? Make your very own ukulele from (almost) scratch! Learn how to assemble, paint, and finish a quality instrument that will last a lifetime. We will also learn how to play some easy ukulele songs and have a mini performance! Learn secrets of instrument-making and impress your family and friends with your woodworking prowess. No prior experience necessary!

Calling all writers, hummers, strummers, and dreamers- do you have words running in your head that you are just itching to put to a song? How about a melody, that you just don’t know what to do with? Join us for a week of songwriting where you will learn how to write lyrics, melodies, accompaniments, and how to put it all together to create your own masterwork. No experience required.

Love Dance? Join us for a week long dance intensive where you will get to perfect your dance skills and explore new genres. This camp is for experienced dancers who are at an intermediate or advanced level. We will focus on classical forms such as Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Lyrical.

Online registration closes one week prior to the camp start date or when full. Space is limited so register online early to secure your space!

Full Day Camps are from 9am-4pm. Half day camps are from either 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm.
Extended hours for drop off (8-8:45am) and pick up (4-6pm) are available for an additional fee.

Children should dress appropriately for the activities scheduled. We recommend shorts and a light weight shirt or top, and some type of athletic shoe or sneaker in order to participate in recreational or athletic activities. Sandals, flip-flops, rubber “crocs”-style shoes, and other open-toed shoes are not recommended.
*Please note- We utilize Acrylic paints that do not come out of clothing. Please send children in clothing they can get paint on.

Full day campers must bring a lunch, two snacks, and a drink in a non-glass container each day. Half day campers must bring one snack and a drink in a non-glass container. Snacks should be in a paper, plastic, or reusable bag clearly labeled with the child’s name. Please do not send gum, candy, or anything high in sugar. Children are not permitted to “trade” their lunches or snacks with each other. A microwave is available for use.

A $50 NON REFUNDABLE deposit is required for each camp you wish to attend. Payment is due in full four weeks prior to the camp start date. If you have a credit card on file, payment will be processed four weeks prior to the camp’s start date. If paying by check or cash and full payment is not received four weeks prior to your camper’s start date, your slot will be forfeited and opened up to other campers. Your deposit will not be refunded.

Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing to SongbirdsOviedo@gmail.com at least four weeks in advance of the camp start date for consideration (include the subject heading: Camp Refund). Refunds for cancellations occurring less than four weeks in advance are only considered in cases of emergency and handled on a case-by-case basis. These requests must be submitted within seven days of the camp start date.
Refunds are NOT issued for early departures from camp, campers considered “no shows” (those who do not attend and did not give advance notification of cancellation), for any illness, or for days missed during a camp session. Campers who show signs of being visibly ill will be sent home for the day without refund.
