Custom Guitar Amplifiers
Morrisini Amps are custom guitar amplifiers that are hand-wired and built from scratch with all new components and materials. Riffing on classic designs and circuits while bringing modern utility and upgrades, each amp is custom-built to the needs and specifications of the player. Choose from a base product below, then add features and modifications to design your dream amplifier.
Unless otherwise requested, every amplifier is constructed with upgrades that help extend life, lower the noise floor, and bring versatility to the table. Metal film resistors, oversized power resistors, chunky grid blockers, shielded signal cable, organized lead dress, nifty master volumes, and easily accessible bias and negative feedback controls all work together to make your dream amp as perfect as it can be.
Each amplifier can be constructed as a combo or head. Different wattages are also available. We are proud to offer loud and proud circuits as well as scaled-down packages for bedroom jamming and practicing. Have a unique idea or custom request? Want to utilize a recycled chassis or existing cabinet? Please contact us to finalize your design before placing your deposit.
Every order can be completely customized with your choice of Tolex or vinyl, plus bespoke etched faceplates and grill cloth.
Ready to Order?
A $400 deposit is required for each purchase. This amount covers the cost of parts until the amp is completed. When finished, you will receive a phone call to test out your new custom amp and take it home! Please allow at least two weeks for completion of your project as all amps are built to order. Lead time may vary depending on availability of parts or complexity of requested design. An updated timeline will be provided upon receipt of your deposit.

Sparrow
Based on the famous circuit that started it all, the Sparrow brings no-fuss controls and the purest tube breakup that you’ll ever experience. Perfect in its simplicity, the Sparrow has an all-tube trio that quickly lets you push the preamp and power sections into overdrive. It puts out around five watts and can achieve sparkling cleans before breaking up early and getting gritty. Complete with a master volume control and negative feedback selection, the Sparrow is perfect for recording, jamming, and bedroom riffing. Available in full size as well as a compact package that is just as loud!

Blackbird
Named after and modified from a favorite Beatles amplifier, the Blackbird is designed to sound great with both bass guitar and electric guitar. It roars with forty watts of all-tube output, which provides plenty of clean headroom and volume for bigger gigs. Enjoy included upgrades like a preamp gain boost switch, negative feedback loop, master volume, independently voiced channels for gain shaping, and a channel jumping switch for thick, harmonic overdrive. The Blackbird is our most versatile amp and excels in the studio, on the road, and at gigs of all sizes!

Chickadee
Blast back in time to the 1960s with the Chickadee, a vintage-style spring reverb! This unit is completely driven by tubes and features a rich preamp that drives the longest springs of the era. Built as a piggyback model, the Chickadee sits between your guitar and non-reverb amplifier to saturate your tone with lush echoes and swirling ambience. It features onboard mix, dwell, and tone controls to completely craft your perfect effect, plus it helps boost your guitar signal to future drive your attached amp. Vulture
It’s finally here – the ultimate hard rock, doom, metal, and sludge machine. Yes, it chugs and djents. The Vulture is our hottest and meanest amp for when you need brutal distortion and cranked gain. Clocking in at forty watts, the Vulture packs tons of upgrades under the hood that help you craft your heaviest tones. Included mods feature a cleaner input that bypasses one of its four preamp stages, upgraded power tubes, ultra-quiet lead dress, and three-way cold clipper selector. Nothing rocks harder than the Vulture!

Songbird
Our personal favorite amp, the Songbird is the louder, raunchier big brother of the Sparrow. Boasting fifteen watts of pure vintage tube breakup, the Songbird can hang with a band for practicing and shows, especially with its onboard negative feedback selector, master volume, and double channels that can be jumpered together for ultimate tone crafting. It has incredible touch response and lives most comfortably at the edge of breakup. The Songbird is perfect for many genres of play – of course, because it is descended and modified from the most recorded amplifier of all time!

Roadrunner
The Roadrunner earned its name from its improvement on the best grab-and-go amplifier of all time! Built in a compact package for ease of travel, the included twelve watts of crispy output can make your ears ring. The Roadrunner features onboard tube tremolo and spring reverb, plus an undersized output transformer for added pick sensitivity and response. It is built to last with ultra-quiet components and a rugged chassis, plus it includes a dual footswitch for activating the effects. With its natural and rich overdrive, tremolo, and reverb, the Roadrunner is perfect for any gig!

Raven
For those about to rock, the Raven is here! Descended from its black, white, and gold predecessors that have defined rock and hard rock since the 1980s, the Raven offers a portable package and twenty-five watts of ripping distortion. Unlike our other amplifiers, this model boasts three preamp gain stages, a cold clipper stage, and upgraded power tubes for the hottest overdrive and punch that you can get. It offers crispy distortion with a tight bass response, plus its added master volume control allows for more manageable bedroom and home practice. However, if you can, grab those earplugs and let the Raven fly!
